Castle tour...
... walk through 600 years of eventful history

Even today you can still feel the atmosphere of times long gone when you enter the venerable Kaprun Castle. It is as if you are travelling back in time. Surrounded by centuries-old walls, you get an impression of how counts and castellans spent their everyday lives.

A real attraction for visitors today, the castle used to be proud possession and refuge for many noble families for centuries. The castle was first mentioned in documents at the end of the 13 century. However, historians assume that the construction of the castle goes back even further. Kaprun Castle was built by the Upper Bavarian noble family of the Falkensteins in the 12th century.

Until 1975, the castle had seen exciting times before it increasingly fell victim to the natural process of decay. Finally, the Burgverein Kaprun association made sure that mountains of rubble, wild growth and signs of weathering were removed. Since then, the castle has been restored to its former glory and provides a historical setting for modern events. The perfect symbiosis of past and present!

Hit the Bumps | Dive into the World of Mogul Skiing
Mogul runs often look more intimidating than they really are. With the right technique and the guidance of a professional coach, you'll learn how to stay in control of your speed, choose the right line, and move through the moguls with increasing confidence and flow.

The first tips come during the gondola ride before you prepare for the unique movements of mogul skiing with targeted exercises. Then it's time to hit the bumps: find your line, give it a try, get feedback – and head straight into the next run. Your coach is with you every step of the way, analyzing your technique and showing you how small adjustments can make a big difference. With the help of video analysis, you'll see exactly what's already working well – and how to make your next run even smoother and more controlled.

Mogul runs often look more intimidating than they really are. With the right technique and the guidance of a professional coach, you'll learn how to stay in control of your speed, choose the right line, and move through the moguls with increasing confidence and flow.

The first tips come during the gondola ride before you prepare for the unique movements of mogul skiing with targeted exercises. Then it's time to hit the bumps: find your line, give it a try, get feedback – and head straight into the next run. Through High-Alpine Winter Landscapes to the ICE CAMP presented by Audi
Your unique winter adventure off the slopes begins at the Alpincenter at 2,450 meters. Here, you meet your guide, who equips you with snowshoes and trekking poles.

After a brief introduction to snowshoeing, the journey begins: follow the ICE CAMP Trail as you leisurely hike uphill through stunning high-alpine winter scenery, taking in breathtaking views along the way.Your destination is a sun-drenched plateau at 2,600 meters, where the ICE CAMP presented by Audi awaits – one of the most extraordinary art installations in the Alps.

Inside three igloos, ice and snow sculptures, creative light installations, and mystical sounds tell a new, captivating story each year. After exploring the camp, the group returns together to the Alpincenter.

Step by Step to Tristkogel Summit Bliss
On this guided ski tour, a certified mountain guide leads you from Langwied through 660 vertical meters of untouched nature, off the beaten track, to the 2,642-m-high Tristkogel. After a brief introduction to avalanche beacon (LVS) search, your guide shares valuable tips and tricks for backcountry skiing along the way: Which ascent techniques work best? How do you spot potential hazards? How do you pick the right line? After a relaxed summit break with breathtaking views, the highlight awaits: an exhilarating descent back down the mountain.

Mogul runs often look more intimidating than they really are. With the right technique and the guidance of a professional coach, you'll learn how to stay in control of your speed, choose the right line, and move through the moguls with increasing confidence and flow.

The first tips come during the gondola ride before you prepare for the unique movements of mogul skiing with targeted exercises. Then it's time to hit the bumps: find your line, give it a try, get feedback – and head straight into the next run. Your coach is with you every step of the way, analyzing your technique and showing you how small adjustments can make a big difference. With the help of video analysis, you'll see exactly what's already working well – and how to make your next run even smoother and more controlled.

On 26 and 27 June 2027, endurance athletes and fans of triathlon sports will get their money's worth again. The TriZell, an international triathlon, is entering its 40th round in Zell am See-Kaprun. The Olympic distance consists of a 1.5km swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run. The Sprint distance covers 750 meters swimming, 20 kilometers on bike and 5 kilometers of running.

This year, the start and finish areas are in and around the Thumersbach lido with a view of the center of Zell am See, the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn.
